Woolworths futureFERNS Year 5 & 6

Woolworths futureFERNS Year 5 & 6 provides young Netball stars with the opportunity to continue their development of fundamental movement skills and the foundation Netball skills through play in activities and modified Netball. The development of and success in any sport requires a solid core of foundation skills.

VENUE: Games are held outdoors at Dudley Park Netball Centre

GAME TIMES: Between 9.00am and 3.00pm

OPENING DAY: Saturday 3rd May 2025
FINAL DAY:       Saturday 23rd August 2025

NO NETBALL: Saturday 31st May (Kings Birthday Weekend), 21st June (Matariki) or 5th July (School Holidays).

• Teams will start with a warm up and activity, with the game to start once the Junior Whistlers come out, check nails and start the game. 
  NCNC Recommend that the Warm up is completed before the Session TIme, but are doing an activity until the Junior Whistlers come out.  It is the perfect time to re-affirm an activity completed at Practice that week.
• Teams will need to provide a "bench" person to run the timers & take the score *
• Each team must also supply a court support person every 2nd week to assist with game management which includes correct setting up, timer protocols and liaising with Junior Whistler support. (More information will be provided in the coaches workshops.)
• Games are 4x 8 minute quarters with breaks of 1 minute at quarter time and 2 minutes at half time.
• The team can be made up of any players that are available.

Coaches/Managers - there are no team lists for the Year 5/6 programme this year, but can you please check in at the officials window before your game so that we know you are here.

* Scores will be taken (to help NCNC match similar level teams) however scores will not be published.
